Characteristics:
An aphaeresis concentrate from aphaeresed thrombocytes, leukocytes removed, can be divided for paediatric administration with a minimum dose of 50 x 109 thrombocytes in a volume of 40 – 70 mL. In that case, the plasma must not contain any clinically relevant irregular antibodies against erythrocytes. If incompatible plasma is given (for example, from an O donor to an A or B patient), then there must be an anti-A and/or anti-B titre of 1:64 or lower. |
